Stress Echocardiography Its Principles and Practical Aspects
نویسنده
چکیده
STRESS ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY HAS EMERGED as an important imaging modality for the evaluation of patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). The rationale for using stress echocardiography stems' from the fact that CAD cannot always be confirmed or ruled out on the basis of symptoms and/or ECG fmdings alone. Moreover, stress echocardiography provides additional information on the cardiac mechanical pump function which is an important parameter that helps the clinician to determine prognosis in patients with ischemic heart disease. Irrespective of the cause, myocardial ischemia in a single coronary territory is associated with three clinical manifestations: abnormal regional left ventricular function, ECG changes, and angina. Experimental and clinical experience suggests that regional wall motion abnormalities may precede both angina and the ECG changes. 1-5 The loss of normal contractile activity in a vascular bed results early and rapidly in asynergy, which is detectable by echocardiography.6

Theoretical, Scientific and Practical Aspects of the Basic Stages of Cad Cam Designing of Centrifugal Pumps
Many theoretical and practical problems arise at different stages of the design/manufacturing process during development of a pump. The experience obtained in pump development proves that the quality of a pump depends on many factors, which should he satisfied to receive good results. At the same time, the theory of engineering design principles exists, which is applicable to designing various ...

Introduction: Echocardiography is a diagnostic test in that ultrasound waves are used for producing images of the heart muscle and valves. Echocardiography provides a series of useful information about the heart and its function for treatment purpose. It is especially useful for assessing valvular heart disease. Although it has no known side effect, but similar to any other medical procedure, i...

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the use of noninvasive procedures for the detection of myocardial ischemia and its relation with other coexistent clinical factors in patients with asymptomatic type 2 diabetes mellitus. SUBJECTS AND METHODS A total of 42 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, aged 41-72 years with no clinical history suggestive of coronary heart disease, were evaluated for silent myoca...

Several automated border detection approaches for three-dimensional echocardiography have been developed in recent years, allowing quantification of a range of clinically important parameters. In this review, the background and principles of these approaches and the different classes of methods are described from a practical perspective, as well as the research trends to achieve a robust method.
